A Team on a Mission

Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute is on a mission to increase access and provide superior care and exceptional outcomes for patients and families across the country and around the world.

Those efforts were recognized when U.S. News & World Report ranked Cincinnati Children’s #1 in the nation in its 2023–24 list of Best Children’s Hospitals, and the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program among the top ten in cardiology and heart surgery.

The Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program is a collaboration between Cincinnati Children’s and UK Kentucky Children’s Hospital. This integrated program jointly reports outcomes on procedures and care and has increased access for families throughout the region since its inception in 2017.

While rankings can be a testament to the collaboration’s strength, we place patients and families as a priority over rankings. We do not turn away complex patients when we believe our team can provide new options that can impact their outcomes.

And we value collaboration to make this possible. The shared care model used by the Heart Institute allows us to provide services safely, effectively, and close to home by working with our referring providers.

We’re fortunate to be able to work with subspecialists locally, regionally, and from around the world to support the care you provide to your patients. It’s these collaborations that help us do what we do for all patients—yours and ours.

We are grateful for your collaboration as we continue our journey.
