Specialists Convene for 2018 Pediatric Urology Workshop in Cincinnati
Many thanks to the 130 pediatric urologists, fellows, nurses and nurse practitioners who took part in our fourth annual Urology Workshop in March! The three-day event took place at The Westin Hotel in downtown Cincinnati, and featured presentations on a variety of topics related to complex conditions of the genitourinary tract—among them, strategies for vaginal reconstruction, neuromodulation for bowel and bladder dysfunction and complex hypospadias repair.
Attendees hailed from 26 states and 13 countries. In addition to lectures, they enjoyed panel discussions, case studies and a social event at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center. Here’s what some participants had to say.
“This course was outstanding for many reasons—the opportunity for me to catch up with old friends and make new ones, share knowledge with others, and learn from leaders in the field. We were given a high-yield course that translates into real clinical application. The size of the group was perfect for open and honest discussion about topics we see and manage every day. Pramod Reddy and his group treated us to a well-oiled conference at a world-class pediatric hospital with a world-class pediatric urology program. I would highly recommend this to fellows and faculty without hesitation.”

Associate Professor of Urologic Surgery

“I really enjoyed the camaraderie and how well we were treated and received by the Cincinnati group. In a close second were the quality of the presentations and discussions, which were high level due to the experts who were present. I have already recommended this workshop to several people—fellows, my nurse practitioners, research coordinator and colleagues back home.”

Director of Pediatric Urology

"Attending the Pediatric Urology Workshop was an immense pleasure and novel experience. The material presented was above my expectation. In three days, most common and difficult topics in pediatric urology were discussed at the grassroots level. I recommend the workshop to the rest of world interested in pediatric urology."
Safdar Javed, MBBS, MS
Dean of Nephrourology and Organ Transplantation
Faisalabad Medical University, Faisalabad-Pakistan
“This was a meeting devoted to the practical exchange of experience in the way that faculty lectures can bring their expertise and present concepts that they in fact use in their home institutions. I would especially recommend this workshop to pediatric urology fellows, because this meeting was created basically for them, the fellows were the purpose and inspiration. We want to train the new generation.”
